This web site was crafted by hand using Crimson Editor and a lot of help from Eric Meyer (even though he doesn't know anything about it).
It uses Cascading Style Sheets (CSS) extensively and should be fully XHTML 1.1 Strict compliant. I learnt all I know about CSS through trawling the web for as much information as possible; however, real progress was only made when I purchased 'Eric Meyer on CSS'- a real live paper and print book. The layout used here is based on a number of examples in the book and its follow up. So, Eric, thanks, even though you have never heard of me.
Unfortunately, or fortunately, web site creation is not my primary activity. So this may not be as polished as some sites, sections may not be complete or the markup may be invalid. Please feel free to contact with any thoughts or comments.
With that in mind, the pages were developed to work with modern browsers, particularly standards compliant ones. This means that Firefox users will get a slightly better experience than Internet Explorer users. In fact IE is the reason that I have had to create the 2nd menu on the left hand side of the screen. There are probably people who can tell me how to make the markup work in both browsers, but I have othere things that I really want to get on with.
I am not going to tell you exactly what differences there are, go and down load Firefox- it is a better browser after all- and take a little stand to keeping Microsoft honest.
The rest of the web site will be filled in as I get around to it. Hopefully I will eventually get some presentations turned into PDF and uploaded. We will have to see if I manage to keep this web site more up to date than the last one.
